RISING gospel singer Olinda Marowa appears to have an obsession for pornography. The silver-voiced star spends most of her time browsing her Samsung E250 mobile phone that contains pornographic material.
When H-Metro hooked up with her at a city college yesterday, she was almost salivating as she browsed the videos of men and women having sex. “Yes, its pornographic material, I admit. But remember, this handset is not mine,” she said.
Olinda tried to distance herself from the “hypocritical” act, alleging that the phone belonged to her cousin. Her cousin was said to have travelled to Murehwa. “This phone belongs to my cousin (Zivisai), I cannot delete her material.
“She just told me to use the phone temporarily when she came from South Africa. “My phone went for repairs,” she added. In her July 13 2008 interview, Olinda told a local weekly that it was only the Holy Bible that keeps her focused.
However, it leaves one wondering if it is the same Holy Bible that is still giving her focus. Olinda is currently working on her second album Mufaro wangu. She is also a devout member of the Jesus is the Way Ministries headed by Pastor Richard Makumana.
