SYDNEY, Australia – Zimbabwean circus acrobat who is alleged to have knowingly spread HIV has forced a national appeal for information from people who may have come into contact.

ydney court today for an extradition hearing and is due to appear in the Southport Magistrates Court tomorrow,
Queensland Police Acting Deputy Commissioner Col McCallum said the man, who has been HIV positive since 1997, would face two charges relating to transmitting a serious disease.
Queensland Health chief health officer Jeannette Young has asked other women who had sex with the man to come forward for testing.
The man has been charged with acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm or transmit a serious disease .
Mr Zaburoni has worked as an acrobat in a circus and arrived in Australia from Zimbabwe in 1997.
Ms Young said the man allegedly had had unprotected sex with at least 12 women across the country.
It is believed he had sex with seven women in Queensland and others in NSW and Victoria, but it is possible there were others in other states.

PEople are dying of aids and some of the people dying are girls who are raped by family members and outsiders and by this act: aids is increasing.

Yeah! Test everyone for AIDS! Just everyone who comes in should undergo scrupulous testing and have to wait in the terminal for weeks while the tests come back! That wouldn’t be extremely detrimental to international business and tourism aspects of the economy!
It’s not about testing tourists or people who are only here temporarily. It’s about testing those who want citizenship.
They already do blood tests when you apply for AU citizenship. So why was he granted citizenship if his test was positive? What is the point of giving a blood test, if they’re going to let people into the country regardless?

lets all take greater control over our sexual health , men and women. we should use protection all the time. If you don’t know the person’s HIV status then condomise and insist- no condom no sex. I fell sorry for the women but again its a lesson to all of us that HIV is out there and that condom is the only way. Remember some people living with HIV finds its tricky to disclose their status due to stigma and discrimination they face although although some forgets that it is a criminal offense to knowingly and deliberately infact others.

test every freaking person for the virus only challenge is some might come out negative while they are positive so really thetre is no way you can 100% prevent foreigners from spreading hiv just tell the locals to use condoms or they die!
