TWO Nyamandlovu brothers severely assaulted their neighbour after one of them allegedly caught him being intimate with his eight-month pregnant wife in a bush.
Xolani Tshabalala (32) and Nhlanhla Tshabalala (40) of Maboleni village in Nyamandlovu pleaded guilty to assault as defined by the Criminal Law (Codification and Reform) Act, Chapter 9:23 for assaulting Daniel Dumisile Ncube (55).
The duo appeared before magistrate Tomupei Zhou at a circuit court in Nyamandlovu last Thursday.They were remanded out of custody to appear in court for judgment on 26 April.
The prosecutor, Mr Tawanda Sigauke, told the court that on 8 October last year, the first accused (Xolani) followed his wife into the bush out of suspicion and found her having a “nice time” with the complainant.
It is said upon catching a glimpse of the woman’s husband, the complainant took to his heels.The following day the first accused and his brother, Nhlanhla, approached the complainant in a bushy area and assaulted him using a knobkerrie and a switch all over the body.
The complainant sustained serious injuries on the face, right forearm and a swollen lower back.A report was made to the police leading to the arrest of the two accused persons and a medical report was produced in court.
